Still clearing out

This is freaking incredible. I can't believe that a 2 story townhouse can hold so much junk. Judi came over today and we continued to clear out decades worth of paper and momentos. Amongst the stuff I found was a plaque given to me by the Cub Scouts for "devoted and untiring work back in 1991.

I also have several cartons more of books to get rid of.My head spins at the thought of this continuing project. There are some candidates who might take the books. I have a nephew who is interested in the Civil War. Also there may be a possibility of donating many of my volumes to the local Civil War Roundtable.

Clearing out!

Judi has been very helpful in helping me clear out the debris of living in the same house for forty years. It is hard for me because of all the memories attached to everything I look at.

The more stuff, I get rid of, the easier it will be for Judi to unload the house and whatever contents remain.

Besides, the more stuff we get rid of, the easier it will be for the painters. Once the house is painted, I will restart the maid service. I find it difficult to motivate myself to keep the place "Spic and Span", it is much easier to write a check once a month.
